Pros vs Joes
2011 Pros vs Joes Competition Final

The 2011 Pros vs Joes Draft Challenge is finished! The winner of our annual signature event here at FantasyMojo.com was Roger Gonzalez - "Sideline Sage" with a total score of 2766.00. Roger was the overall top scorer out of 84 players made up of industry experts and players of the FFPC (Fantasy Football Players Championship). You can see all the competitors, HERE. It's an impressive list of participants.

Congrats Roger!

Roger narrowly edged out Lance Turbes - "PROWLERS PVJ" who finished just 1.15 points behind with 2765.85 points.

Across the seven leagues, the Joe's dominated the competition, winning 6 of the 7 league titles. They certainly have the home field advantages, as the FFPC scoring and roster configuration is a bit unique. (1.5 points per reception for tight ends and a dual flex weekly lineup). With the demise of the WCOFF, we see this scoring system becoming more mainstream. Many private leagues that we participate in are changing their basic scoring system to reflect that of the FFPC, in lieu of the WCOFF rules. Clearly, the best players in the world favor the flexibility of the FFPC.

Want to be on the list for consideration in 2012 for this competition? If you are 'in the industry' and would like consideration as a 'Pro', shoot us an email at : webmaster@fantasymojo.com . To qualify as a Joe, you have to clear 2 hurdles. First, you must be registered for any paid event in 2012 at the FFPC. Secondly, you'll need to register for the event itself when that opens up, but spots are limited, and a drawing is held to randomly select participants. The drafts are held in late July, but we'll have info for 2012 up and running in June sometime.
