A little bit of Pros vs Joes history...

The FFPC Pros vs Joes Draft Challenge was derived from the (now defunct) Network Draft Challenge. That competition ran in 2008 and 2009, and consisted solely of industry sites spread across 3 divisions: Network Gurus, Network Masters, and Network Experts. Each division conducted their their own separate best ball draft. The 2008 winner was and the 2009 winner was

When the Fantasy Players Network was 'absorbed' by another entity, proposed running a similar competition with the FFPC, with the twist that the industry analysts/experts would compete against the high stakes players at the FFPC. The first year of competition was in 2009. In those days the FFPC was running their drafts over on . Amazingly, those draft boards are still up and running if you want to get . (You can click on the links at the bottom of this page, to bring up the boards).

It's amazing how many of the players drafted in the first couple rounds in 2009 are still productive players today. On the other hand, many of the players drafted later are unfortunately no longer being seen on fantasy draft boards.
